"If we go any farther my brother'll get mad!"

A small, black haired boy trotted behind Cal, urging him to turn back. "He really won't like it!"

"Your brother ain't the boss of me," the older boy said with confidence. "I know what I'm doing, there's nothing dangerous this way I swear it. It's the forest that's the bad part and that's on the complete other side of the village."

"Yeah, Calvin knows what he's doing!" a small girl, the youngest of the three, chimed in, holding Cal's hand proudly as they marched along up the tall, grassy hill. She peered over her shoulder with a smile. "C'mon, Jeremy! It'll be fun! It's an adventure, and this is the farthest we've ever been from everyone else!" Jeremy crossed his arms.

"Nuh-uh, Cal's been to that kingdom through the woods a bunch of times," he pouted.

"That's different," Cal protested. "I gotta go there, this's 'cause I want to." He nodded a bit, satisfied with his reasoning. "And plus, that guy who passed through last week said there was a place this way! A place like that kingdom I've been to but different!" Jeremy let out an aggravated sigh that was almost too out of place for a ten year old boy. Cal's sources were always vague and based on faith. Still, he knew he must have truly believed there was no danger considering he'd let the girl accompany them.

"If I get in trouble 'cause of you…" Jeremy grumbled finally.

The top of the hill was in sight and Cal dashed forward, tugging the small girl along with him. She happily scampered after him, leaving Jeremy tripping over himself trying to sprint up the grass. The older boy let out an accomplished "Yes!" as he pointed with his free hand out into the distance. Jeremy scuttled to the top of the hill and looked out in amazement.

"I told you there was something out here!"

There, far out in the field, sat a large assortment of what seemed to be aquarium tanks. They were piled one on top of and next to one another, coming into an almost  geometric sculpture. From where they stood, though it was more than a tad bit hazy, the children could tell that life was going on inside of these tanks. Cal squinted and shielded his eyes from the sun as the three stood, looking on in awe.

"Well, what are we waiting for?!"

Cal's eyes fluttered open and he slowly pulled himself into a sitting position. Letting out a groggy sigh, he ran his hand through his messy hair. He sat there a moment, staring at the entrance to his tent, until he finally dragged his backpack onto his lap, took out his journal, and tried very hard to remember the dream he'd had.
((Didn't get the chance to finish a drawing today so I figured I'd just upload another one of these OTL))
